Who we are

Stake Talent, part of Viking Consulting Group, is a founder-led recruiting practice based in Bucharest, Romania, placing Product, Engineering and Delivery talent — primarily in iGaming and other regulated industries. This policy explains what personal data we collect through staketalent.com, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

What we collect

We collect personal data only when you give it to us directly:

• Interest registration. The email address you submit through the "Get notified" form, so we can reach out when a relevant search opens.
• Direct contact. Any information you send us by email — including a CV, if you send one — when you reach out about a role, a search, or a candidate.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party web analytics on this site. We don't buy, scrape, or otherwise collect candidate data without it being sent to us directly or shared with us in the course of a search.

How we use it

• To notify you when a relevant role opens, if you registered interest.
• To evaluate and progress you as a candidate for a specific search, if you contact us about one.
• To respond to employers who contact us about hiring.

We rely on your consent (interest registrations, unsolicited CVs) or on taking steps at your request prior to entering an engagement (active candidate or client conversations) as our legal basis for processing, in line with the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation where it applies.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors to run this site and our practice, and only share what's necessary with them:

• Formspree — processes submissions from the interest form.
• Vercel — hosts this website.
• Google Workspace — hosts our email.
• Prospective employers — if you're a candidate we're actively representing for a search, we share your details with the specific employer(s) you've agreed to be put forward to. We don't share your CV or identity with an employer without your knowledge.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep interest registrations and candidate data for as long as it's reasonably useful to the purpose you gave it to us for — typically the life of an active search plus a period afterward in case a relevant role opens. You can ask us to delete your data at any time; see "Your rights" below.

Your rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or withdraw consent for our processing of it. To exercise any of these, email hello@staketalent.com and we'll respond promptly. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Children

This site and our services are intended for working professionals and are not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practice or this site changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
